Xledger Fundraising for Bear in Mind
Xledger UK
My Story
This May, Xledger staff are walking the South West Coastal Path from Sidmouth to Seaton to raise money for Bear in Mind. A 10 mile hike with 700m of ascent!
The Bear in Mind programme is a powerful initiative designed to help girls in secondary school build the confidence, resilience, and life skills they need to navigate challenges of modern teenage life.
Bear in Mind combines physical activity with important topics such as stress management, self-care, body image, social media awareness, and positive relationships. The programme encourages a growth mindset, empowering girls to be themselves, overcome challenges, and building supportive networks around them.
The results speak for themselves:
• 100% of participants would recommend the programme to others
• 90% increased their physical activity levels
• 84% used strategies from the programme to manage stress and anxiety
• 84% felt more confident and positive about themselves
• 74% reported a more critical and informed view of social media
This May, every £10 raised for our Xledger Hike covers the cost for one girl to receive an ASDAN award – accreditation for the programme they can use towards future qualifications and achievements.
We’re aiming for a total of £1500 – that would mean 150 girls receiving the accreditation available!
Every little counts! Please give what you can 😊
